We started our initial pilot project at our 300-square feet building in Kottawa in the Colombo district
We conducted our first export project of e-waste to Germany
Our second warehouse was established in a 6000-square feet building in Kelaniya
Our First Factory
2012
We moved our first factory to a 9000-square feet building in Kiriwaththuduwa
CWM acquired its first EVL (Environmental Protection License) as a waste management company in Sri Lanka
Company Sales Revenue
2013
The company sales revenue reached 25.271 million rupees with an annual recorded profit of 10.666 million rupees. The total assets of the company valued up to 33.997 million rupees by the end of the financial year (31/03/2013)
Export Revenue

Export Revenue ended up at 22% and Local sales revenue hit 78% of the total revenue of the company
The Company was honored with the “Merit Award in None Traditional Manufacturing Sector” at the National Business Excellence Awards ceremony
Bronze Award
2015
CWM was once again recognized for its excellence and awarded the “Bronze Award in the Industrial Sector” at the National Exporters Awards 2015 (NCE Awards 2015)
First Global Award
2016
CWM was awarded the first global award for the “International Diamond Price for Quality” by the most prestigious “European Society for Quality Research” (ESQR)Refinery at Katunayake Export Processing Zone ( KEPZ)
CWM was yet again honored for its high-quality with “The Green Era Award” presented by OMAC in France
The company signed an agreement with the Board of Investment (BOI) to invest for setting up an E- Waste Processing & Precious Metal Extracting facility in the country
Mihisaru Award
2017
The company increased its factory capacity up to 25000 square feet
CWM was honored with the “Mihisaru Award“
The company was further honored by becoming the “Gold Award Winner for Business Operations & Financial Results - Overall Medium Scale Enterprises” at the National Business Excellence Awards Ceremony
CWM was also presented the “Gold Award in the Non-Traditional Manufacturing Sector” at the National Business Excellence Awards Ceremony held in 2017
CWM started constructing its Precious Metal Refinery at Katunayake Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) on 1 November, 2017.
Green Apple Award
2018
CWM was honored with the “Green Apple Award” by the International Green Apple Organization in the United Kingdom at the British Parliament building.
The company relocated to its new factory in Kelanimulla
World Green Award - Global Gold
2019
CWM was one again honored with the most prestigious global award “World Green Award - Global Gold” by being selected as the Global Winner in Waste Management Segment in the world. The awards ceremony was held at the Ministry of Environment & Urbanization in Turkey
The company was yet again honored the “Green World Ambassador” title to support other industries to reach their sustainability goals by the Green Apple Organization in UK.

Cathode Ray Tubes
2020
CWM holds patent rights for the processing of hazardous Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT)
The company also started the processing of CFL bulbs and mercury contaminated waste materials in Sri Lanka
Installation of Machineries
2021
The company initiated the installation of machineries of Precious Metal Refinery at KEPZ
Ceylon Waste Management (Pvt.) Ltd acquired a property to establish a new e- waste pre- processing facility at Siyambalape (Biyagama) in the Gampaha District. The expected factory space will be 30,000 square feet.
